VALVE notes

Valve began as a collaboration between myself and Layden Robinson. He and I have a few things in common: we both write fiction, we both love good music, we're both as honest as the day is long, and we both value family and friends. And yet, at the time of the writing of this album we were both going through dark times... Instead of fighting the darkness, we made the conscious decision to explore it through music and words. Hence the title of this one, The Dark Tongue.

We were fortunate to have help in bringing the music to life, both on the recording, and on subsequent live gigs, from drummer Ryan Baker and guitarist Jason Southard. Valve. Rocky. Funky. Loud. Introspective. Moving.
